Amy & Tyler, Downtown Los Angeles Wedding

November 23rd, 2009 | Posted in Weddings at 5:26 pm by jen

I cannot say enough good things about Amy & Tyler. They are so sweet, so laid back and so beautiful! Pretty much a photographers dream couple. They had their amazing intimate wedding at their downtown loft. The ceremony took place in the big lobby downstairs with beautiful hanging paper lanterns, and the reception up on the rooftop patio overlooking an incredible view of the skyscrapers downtown. It felt as if downtown LA itself was a guest at the wedding, it was just gorgeous. Two and a half years ago, we got to shoot Tyler’s sister’s wedding in Joshua Tree and we were so excited to be part of their family once more with this amazing celebration. Congratulations guys, we love you!  Check out the slideshow too!

Cheryl & Paul, wedding at Wilson Harding Clubhouse in Griffith Park

November 16th, 2009 | Posted in Weddings at 3:12 pm by jen

Cheryl & Paul are amazing people. Their love of music envelops every millimeter (I’m Canadian, I don’t get fractions of an inch :) ) of their lives. For example, their reception was basically a big jam session, with all of their friends performing all night long. Paul (who’s a drummer) got up and sang Stevie Wonder’s “I Wish” for Cheryl. The Hawaiian themed day was planned to be very green/eco conscious, including plantable invitations and favors. The night was magical. Check out this vendor lineup:
Coordinator - Liz Coopersmith of Silver Charm Events
Venue - Wilson Harding Clubhouse
Candles - Bluecorn Naturals & Tropical USA
Catering - Granville Cafe
Cake - Hansen’s Cakes
Cake Topper - Just Cake Toppers
Officiant - Officiant Guy
Favors - Plant a Memory
Invitations - Plantable Papers & The Paper Mill Store

We love that Susie thought of every detail, like the gorgeous calligraphy signs everywhere and the whimsical tablescaping (did I just make that word up?), her amazing style was weaved into everything that day.
