Day after sessions are a joy to shoot. All the beauty of a wedding, without the stress of the wedding day! These two were pros for their day after session in Malibu. Gorgeous couple, gorgeous location. What more could you want? Well, maybe a little less wind so we could keep Tawny’s veil in her hair. Check ‘em out.

Tawny & Domenick are fantastic! Super cool to be around and naturals in front of the camera. Their beautiful daytime wedding was at Calamigos Equestrian, which has the most perfect daytime reception room flooded with natural light. The dream team that brought this day to life (and some of our more favorite ladies in the biz) included make up and hair by Mariah Nicole, flowers by Jackie Combs Floral Design and cakes (yes that’s plural, check out the super cool grooms cake!) by Joeleen of A Sweet Design.  Photoboof was also set up and was super fun! Mollie & Michael are getting married in Texas later this year, but since they live in Santa Monica they wanted to do their engagement session here at home. We were so happy to oblige. Here’s a little look at our time roaming around SM.

Kathy & Robert were married at the new and beautiful Belamar Hotel. I had such a great time with them and am so thankful to one of our very first clients, Kim & John, who we photographed way back in 2004!!! Congratulations guys!

This past weekend we shot a few Mother’s Day portraits at the Santa Monica pier. It was a lightly overcast day - my favorite light to shoot in!!! We had a great time with all the families and got some images that I think all the mom’s will be proud of. There is nothing like shooting a “day after” session. You get all the fun of photographing a bride & groom without all the stress of the actual wedding day. Everything is relaxed, paced nice and slow, time is really taken with each shot. We love them! While in Vegas we took Nicole & Youshik out to the desert for a little fun. Check out the rad car they rented from Voyager Classics for the shoot!!! After the desert we headed down to Freemont Street to mix things up a bit. We had the best weekend with you Nicole & Youshik!! Enjoy!!!

Buckle up, this is gonna be a loooong post. We don’t normally post this many images for a blog entry, but this wedding was awesome. For one, it was in Vegas. Two, it was Nicole & Youshik. For those who don’t know, Nicole is our designer extraordinaire. She has designed EVERYTHING for us, from website to business cards to anything and everything we could possible need designed. For those who came to the Baby Celebration LA show, weren’t our promo booklets amazing??? That was all Nicole. Check out her work here.

On to the post…we started the day getting ready at THEhotel. Nicole & Youshik wanted to do pictures before & after the ceremony, which gave us soooooo much time to get some great photos of them, it was a dream! Being the awesome designer Nicole is, she designed every last detail of this wedding. Invites (letter pressed and stunning), place cards, table cards, floral center pieces—including making the boxes that held them… you get the idea.
