Some things demand to be photographed.

September 27th, 2007 | Posted in Personal at 10:00 am by nate

As I was coming home this past Sunday, I noticed a beautiful Harley-Davidson softtail parked on our street. I’m not normally a gear-head (well, unless you count my cameras and computers), but the way the light was hitting this beautiful machine inspired me to grab my camera and do an impromptu photo session.

One great detail was the chicken-foot kickstand.

While I was shooting, I met one of our neighbors. He started reminiscing about how he used to own one of these bikes. I caught a photo of him and me in the reflection of the headlamp.

Walt Disney Concert Hall

September 11th, 2007 | Posted in Weddings at 10:44 am by jen

This past weekend I got to second shoot for the lovely and talented Kari Kochar. I was so excited to work at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, as I’ve never shot there before and have wanted to for so long!! The bride and groom were a stunning couple, and they had a great color theme of turquoise and chocolate brown. Here’s a few of my shots:

The Bel Air Bay Club

September 7th, 2007 | Posted in Weddings at 8:42 am by jen

You’ll remember Shauna & Danny from their engagement session we did this summer. The guestbook we made from that session was a big hit at their beautiful Bel Air Bay Club wedding. These two are so in love, I started tearing up almost every time Shauna did! Apropos created all the stunning florals and Shelly Balloon from A Unique Presentation ran the night smoothly.

A wedding and a baptism - 2 for 1!

September 6th, 2007 | Posted in Weddings at 1:00 pm by jen

Alexis & George looked like a couple of stunning Greek gods on their wedding day - maybe that’s because they’ve lived in Greece for the last 2 years? This was a great day, they were really married 2 years ago, but never had a big ceremony. It was time for their daughter Eva’s baptism, and they thought while they were organizing one party, why not have two? We started the day at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church for the wedding ceremony, immediately followed by the baptism. The reception  at Alexis’ parent’s beautiful backyard in Hancock Park included a fabulous meal by Debbie’s Dinners. Here’s a look:

St. Sophia, in all it’s glory

A few from the wedding…

…and baptism.

Are these two hot or what?

Beautiful Eva.

Enjoying the evening.
