Shauna & Danny in Hollywood

July 29th, 2007 | Posted in Engagements at 9:26 am by jen

We cannot wait to shoot Shauna & Danny’s wedding this September at the Bel Air Bay Club. We had the best time with them roaming around Hollywood for this engagement session. We covered everything from the dog park (were we met their super sweet pup!), to the streets. We even caught a rainbow! We’re designing one of our super popular guestbooks from this session and we can’t wait to see it in action!

Renee & Jesse

July 27th, 2007 | Posted in Weddings at 9:17 am by jen

Renee & Jesse started their wedding weekend with a rehearsal dinner at Gladstones in Malibu. We started the evening with a little portrait session of them on the beach, then hung out with their friends & family as everyone celebrated. The wedding took place at the Ranch House at Calamigos Ranch, which is such a pretty little spot at Calamigos. I’m a Girl DJ spun some great tunes, and Kesa Dillon of Frost Cake Boutique (formally of Bun in the Oven Bakery) made the most incredible display of gourmet cupcakes (I sniffed down a Red Velvet AND a Polenta Strawberry Shortcake… man I’m a piggy).

So yummy…

Debra & Doug’s Wedding!

July 24th, 2007 | Posted in Weddings at 7:57 pm by jen

Debra & Doug were married at the Cambria Pines Lodge which is nestled in the beautiful town of Cambria California, on the central coast. The day started out with typical morning fog (which we LOVED shooting in), then the sun quickly burned it all off and it turned into the most beautifully sunny perfect day. The Lodge has such beautiful grounds with garden after garden, we had the best time shooting all day. Here’s a look…

That amazing morning fog.

Smart idea, man that sun was strong! Nate & I were fried!!!

The beautiful ceremony, performed by Debra’s brother-in-law “Deacon Duane”.

Party in the garden.

They didn’t have a wedding cake so instead shared a homemade heart shaped cookie. We love originality!

We go away for a week and we’re so behind on our blog!! We’ve got a few posts to make, so check back this week…

One of our many destination weddings this year happened in Cambria California a couple of weekends ago. Those of you who know us well, know that Cambria is one of our MOST favorite spots in Cali to visit, we were so excited when Debra told us where the wedding was taking place. We drove up the day before the wedding and got the chance to do a little portrait session on the beautiful rocky coast. The wedding post will follow…

Johanna & Alex

July 10th, 2007 | Posted in Weddings at 4:09 pm by nate

Johanna & Alex were married at the beautiful Descanso Gardens. We had such a great time taking them around the stunning rose gardens and photographing them. They were such sports, every time we thought we were done with their pictures, we’d find another great spot we HAD to shoot! Thanks for putting up with us guys!! Eijis created incredible flowers for the day, Brenda Baye of Descanso Gardens ran a flawless day and Gerry Rothschild’s band was fantastic! Johanna & Alex were referred to us by our clients Jonalyn & Vince, who are expecting a baby any minute!!! Thank you Jonalyn & Vince, we so much appreciate referrals, and we LOVE Johanna & Alex!!! Here’s a look:

Jessica and Cameron at La Venta Inn

July 9th, 2007 | Posted in Weddings at 7:37 pm by nate

We had a great time shooting Jessica and Cameron’s wedding at La Venta located in Palos Verdes Peninsula. This lucky couple booked us over a year ago in order to secure their wedding date of July 7, 2007 (7/7/07). They were a lot of fun and kept making faces at the camera during the romantic portrait time. The weather was perfect, and everything ran smoothly thanks to event coordinator Lauren Lavilla with New York Food Company. Beautiful flower arrangements were provided by Ava’s Garden. Tim Benter of DJ’s To Go kept the party hopping. Here’s a preview.

Emily & Jack… almost a year

July 4th, 2007 | Posted in Kids & Family at 3:57 pm by jen

If you can believe it, my niece & nephew will be 1 at the end of the month. It’s amazing to think how fast a year has gone by. I’ve been babysitting quite a bit this past week, as my brother & sister-in-law got to take a little vacation. Here’s the latest…

Emily hangin’ with gramps.

Jack having a great time in his favorite swing.

The new blog!

July 4th, 2007 | Posted in B&G News at 8:31 am by jen

As you can see, our new blog is here! It beautifully matches the look of our website and we’re going to be able to have larger images now!! Thank you SOOOOO much to Nicole & Jerome of Iogami, our fantastic web designers who created this new site and blog for us. They stayed up many late nights, working and testing to make sure everything went without a hitch, and the results are beautiful, we couldn’t be happier - thanks guys!!!

In case the blog looks funny to you, maybe you’re only seeing part of the new look, you may need to do a hard reload (hold down the “shift” button and hit “reload”), or even better, clear your cashe. Everything should look great after that.

Enjoy!
