Rebecca & Alex Got Married

September 24th, 2006 | Posted in Weddings at 2:05 pm by jen

When Nate & I shot Becky & Alex’s Leo Carrillo engagement session, we knew we’d have a great time with them on their wedding day. These two are so sweet and SOOOO in love!!! Their beautiful day started with a morning ceremony at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church and a beautiful afternoon reception at the Tustin Ranch Golf Club. The whole day unfolded perfectly under the coordination of Kimi Wislocki of Perfect Planning, Ben & Jen of dB DJs spun some great tunes and Sandee Creager of Tustin Ranch all made us feel right at home. Here’s a few shots of the day:

Becky’s sister made an artist’s drawing from one of our engagement shots for their program

Being a reverend, Becky’s grandfather had the honor of marrying these two

Becky simply glowed all day

Pretty crystal details on her veil…

Now that’s what I call a Hollywood kiss!

Christine & Jason get hitched!

September 17th, 2006 | Posted in Weddings at 8:18 am by jen

Our third time at the Hyatt Huntington Beach this month! It really is a beautiful location with so many photogenic spots to play with, we can make each wedding look unique. Another perfect SoCal day, it was a joy to drive down to the OC early for this 11:00am ceremony. The stunning florals were created by Bernie Hsiao at Creative Floral Designs, DJ Sam House rocked the party, and the day came together without a hitch under the coordination of Kelley Lee Gin and her Picture Perfect Events team. We had a great time with Christine & Jason, here’s a sample:

Great bouquets

Engaged in Downtown LA

September 11th, 2006 | Posted in Engagements at 9:10 am by jen

Yesterday’s engagement session with Melissa & Jeffrey was a blast! We must have spent 4 hours together hitting a bunch of great downtown spots. Starting at Union Station we took advantage of both the beautiful waiting area as well as the 2 patios. Next we walked over to Olvera Street, listened to the performers, shopped the stalls and ate at a great restaurant. After diner, we headed to Disney Hall. These guys were troopers posing for us for so long, even after Melissa stepped on a wasp!!! Here’s a peak:

Desiree & Rick

September 10th, 2006 | Posted in Weddings at 11:25 am by jen

Last night’s affair took place at Tivoli Terrace in Laguna Beach. So pretty down there. We got to know Desiree and Rick when we did their Union Station engagement session last April, and these two are sweethearts! One of the main reasons we love doing engagement sessions is to get to know our couples better, which in turn makes them more comfortable when we first see them on the big day! We just fell right into the swing of things when we met up with Desi & Rick at the Inn at Laguna hotel yesterday afternoon. The Tivoli Terrace event flowed flawlessly all night, thanks to Bobby, the general manager, and Allan of APC Entertainment got the party hoppin’. Here’s a small sample:

HOT HOT HOT Jimmy Choo’s!!!

We’ve been having a good time with the guys lately…

Loving our marco lens, so perfect for the little things

Jonalyn & Vince at the LAAC

September 4th, 2006 | Posted in Weddings at 12:21 pm by jen

What a great couple these guys are!! We had so much fun photographing their Los Angeles Athletic Club wedding. It was a fun, beautiful and elegant affair. The club is about 120 years old and and you can still feel the vibe of men smoking cigars and drinking fine scotch, yet you can go to the rooftop and get the most fantastic Los Angeles city skyline view. It was a great mix of old and new. As always, it’s hard to just pick a handful of favorites, but here they are…

They had these adorable M&M’s made with their names stamped!

How do you know you married the right man? When he get’s you 2 wedding bands!! You go girl!
